PIR In Service
Our work is rooted in more than evidence and outcomes—it’s rooted in ethics, access, and impact. PIR in Service is our commitment to using our expertise where it matters most: supporting individuals, families, and communities who may not otherwise have access to professional investigative resources.

Through pro bono investigations, advocacy partnerships, and mission-driven outreach, we offer our time and skills to help bring clarity, resolution, and justice to those facing complex challenges. Whether assisting in missing persons cases, supporting underserved legal efforts, or offering background insight in critical situations, we believe everyone deserves answers—and the dignity that comes with being seen and supported.

Because at PIR, service isn't just what we do. It's who we are.
Hope Verified: Finding a Missing NH Resident in 2023
In 2023, PIR founder Corey Porter volunteered his expertise in a pro bono capacity, leading the successful search for an individual listed on both the New Hampshire Missing Persons Report and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children's list. Collaborating with local authorities and community advocates, Corey drew on decades of investigative experience to help locate the individual and provide critical proof of life—bringing long-awaited answers and a sense of resolution to the family involved.

This case underscores the purpose behind PIR in Service: stepping in when it matters most, and using our skills to support those facing uncertainty. Because for us, it’s not just about uncovering facts—it’s about restoring hope, dignity, and peace of mind.
Silent Evidence: Supporting a Survivor in Crisis
In early 2024, Porter Investigative Resources took on a pro bono case involving a domestic violence survivor navigating a high-conflict custody battle. The client, working with a legal aid attorney, had limited resources but was facing false counterclaims, intimidation tactics, and threats to her safety.

Our team stepped in to conduct a discreet social media and background investigation, uncovering digital patterns and behavioral evidence that supported her claims—including timeline inconsistencies, prior incidents involving the opposing party, and concerning online communications. We also conducted a comprehensive asset search that revealed undisclosed financial resources being hidden during legal proceedings.

The findings were compiled into a court-ready report that gave her legal team the leverage they needed to pursue protective measures and shift the direction of the case. While the emotional toll was high, the client shared that the investigation brought a sense of validation and safety she hadn’t felt in years.

This case represents the core of PIR in Service: showing up when truth matters most, and using our tools to protect those whose voices might otherwise go unheard.
